It turns out I was lying in my previous post. Ferryhill Post Boy FC were deducted twelve points having fielded ineligible players. New Brancepeth therefore finished top of the division, by one point!

Runners-up 2011

Well, a long hard season drew to a close today. After joining the Durham District Sunday League this year New Brancepeth finished as runners-up. It was a good effort but one of our main problems was the ability to hold a consistent squad throughout the season a lot of which was down to injuries.
That said 104 goals scored and promotion in our first season can’t be bad. Well done lads! Just need to practice the cross bar challenge now ;-)
